The Unterstein organic farm is situated in a beautiful secluded location surrounded by woods and rough pastures with a rich variety of flora and fauna.

On 19 August 2025, the Laimburg Research Centre, Ms Kathrin Plunger – presented us with the plaque and certificate for ecological gardening, ‘Natur im Garten’ (Nature in the Garden), as our farm meets all the core criteria = biodiversity for this award (see photos).

From the window front, which covers the entire front of the guest area, you have a wonderful view of the valley and the Dolomites. At Unterstein, you can spend your holiday in a sustainably relaxing way – in the eco-friendly room, at breakfast and dinner with many of the farm’s own products, in the stable with the animals, at courses and in the Kneipp bathing room – and enjoy the wonderful view of the valley and the Dolomites.

We also offer guests a pick-up service from the nearest train or bus station on arrival and departure.
